Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has given the country's highest civilian honor, Freedom Award-2023, to prominent people and an institution.

Muhammad Moinuddin Ahmed or Salim Al Deen, culture holy Mohan Dey, Cresat ASM Rakibul Hasan, Begum Nadira Jahan or Surma Zahid and Dr. Ferdowsi Qadri is the institution designated for the award and the Department of Civil Defense.
It should be noted that the government has been giving this award every year on the eve of Independence Day since 1977. In the case of the Independence Award, the awardee will be given 5 lakh taka, 18 carats of 50 grams gold medal, a replica of the medal and a certificate.
