Summit Power Limited has approved a total cash dividend of 35 percent, including 15 percent interim cash dividend and 20 percent final cash dividend, for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2020. The dividend was approved in the presence of shareholders at the 23rd Annual General Meeting on Monday.
At the meeting, Summit Power Limited Chairman Muhammad Aziz Khan said, "Electricity has already reached 170 million people in Bangladesh. But to reach the industries with quality and uninterrupted power, we need to further develop our transmission and distribution system. We request the government to also cooperate with the private sector in developing the power transmission and distribution system."
The virtual meeting, chaired by Summit Power Limited Chairman Muhammad Aziz Khan, was also attended by the company's Vice Chairman Md. Latif Khan, directors Anjuman Aziz Khan, Md. Farid Khan, Ayesha Aziz Khan, Faisal Karim Khan, Aziza Aziz Khan, Helal Uddin Ahmed, Arif Al Islam and Managing Director Lt. J. (Retd.) Engineer Abdul Wadud.
