BNP chairman Begum Khaleda Geeta's sentence has been postponed for another 6 months, but she cannot go abroad.
Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan announced this information at the Secretariat on Sunday (September 18) afternoon. Earlier, Law Minister Anisul Haque had informed that the law ministry has recommended an increase in the suspension of Begum Khaleda Gita's sentence for another 6 months.
On September 11, Khaleda Zia's family applied for suspension of sentence of sentence in two cases, and on that day, Khaleda's younger brother Shamim Iskandar's release was requested by the Home Minister, which was also requested to allow Khaleda's unconditional release and better treatment and a stay abroad for better treatment.
In the wake of this, the Law Ministry has recommended suspension of the sentence, which later suspended the sentence and was allowed to stay out of prison until 25 March 2023.
