Many leaders and activists have sacrificed their lives to protect Sheikh Hasina, said Bangladesh Awami League Joint General Secretary and agriculturist AFM Bahauddin Nasim. He said, many leaders and activists have stood by her, risking their lives. That is why Sheikh Hasina has been able to go so far in implementing the ideals of the Father of the Nation.
Nasim said, "In the coming days, we will have to move forward with a courageous role. We will always stand by Sheikh Hasina, the daughter of Bangabandhu. Our struggle against those who stand by the killers of the Father of the Nation and speak like murderers is ongoing and will continue in the future. They will not be given any concessions."
He made these remarks at a discussion meeting and Bangabandhu Book Fair in memory of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatun Nesa Mujib organized by the Chhatra League at the capital's Government Titumir College on Sunday (August 14) afternoon.
At that time, Bahauddin Nasim said, 'We have to work with patience and tolerance. We will allow ourselves to be beaten if necessary to implement the ideals of the Father of the Nation, but even then we will not let the murderers come forward. We will not bow our heads before them.'
The Awami League leader said, "Those who killed the father of the nation, the murderer Ziaur Rahman protected them. He appointed them to important positions in the state. By enacting laws to protect the murderers, BNP-Jamaat has dishonored the entire nation. They joined hands with evil forces and killed our leader with the aim of turning Bangladesh into Pakistan. Efforts are constantly being made to turn Bangladesh into Pakistan."
