A housewife named Nashrin Akhter (35) in Lakshmipur has been accused of slitting her throat against her brother-in-law. The incident took place in West Latifpur village of Chandraganj in Sadar Upazila on Wednesday (Janu 15). Akhter is the wife of Faruk Hossain and the mother of two sons, who returned from the village.
The relatives of the deceased and the police said that when they went out to meet the call of nature in the early morning, the miscreants who were already getting camels cut her throat and injured her. Later, on her screams, her husband and son came to the Sadar Hospital and declared Nasrin dead after taking her to Sadar Hospital.
Naimul Islam, the son of the deceased, complained that Nashrin had an argument with his brother-in-law Suman's money transaction.
Chandraganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Jasim Uddin said the body of the deceased has been sent to the hospital morgue for the mortem, which is being investigated as to whether he was killed due to previous enmity or for any other reason.
