On Sunday, Buddhists across the country including the capital Dhaka will celebrate Prabarana Purnima, their second largest religious festival with due seriousness and enthusiasm.
The main attraction of this festival is the evening sky with colorful lanterns, which will be the month of hard cheebar donation, i.e. the garu of the bees of monks.
All the monasteries, religious organizations and educational organizations Prabarana Purnima will be celebrated in the day-long program in the institution.
The program will begin by hoisting the national and religious flags in all the monasteries in the morning and reciting the holy verse from the holy Tripitaka.
Breach of fasting, mass prayer, blood donation, association, discussion, Panchshila, Asthasila and Pradeep Puja programs will be highlighted.
The main religious gathering will be held at the Dharmarajik Buddhist Vihar in Kamalapur, Merul Badda, Buddhist Vihar, Kalachandpur Buddhist Vihar, North Buddhist Vihar, Mirpur Tribal Buddhist Temple and Ashulita Bodhijna Maitri Bhavna Center in the capital.
Religious gatherings will be held in various temples including Nandankanan Buddhist Temple in Chittagong, Katalganj Navpati Vihar, Agrabad Sakyamuni Buddhist Vihar, Devpahaj Purnachar International Buddhist Vihar and Momin Road.
In addition, special prayers will be held in all the monasteries of the country for peace and prosperity as well as global peace.The members of the law and order forces have been deployed in all the temples and surrounding areas of the city and the district to celebrate the festival smoothly.
