The case is stuck in the revenue of thousands of crores of rupees. Now the Chief Justice has taken the initiative to quickly settle these cases related to revenue. Three days a week, the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court is keeping the schedule for hearing these cases.

Meanwhile, the Attorney General has formed a special lawyer panel to assist the court in the quick settlement of these cases, which has two additional Attorney Generals and two Deputy Attorney Generals in the panel.

Meanwhile, 34 cases related to revenue were settled in the Appellate Division on Thursday, and the settlement of these cases has created an opportunity for revenue generating of Tk 100 crores due to various institutions, said Attorney General AM Amin Uddin.

According to sources, the Supreme Court's Appellate and High Court Division has a total of 9,000 cases pending in the revenue, which has been held in the case against this large number of cases, which has a revenue of Rs 24,000 crore, including the High Court and 605 appeals against the order in the Appellate Division.

16 thousand crore rupees against 5 thousand 347 writ cases in the High Court and the number of appeals pending in the High Court against the tax and VAT Appellate Tribunal is 2 thousand 788. Against these appeals, the four double benches have been given a double bench in the High Court to settle these cases.

Attorney General AM Amin Uddin told Ittefaq that the judges of the Appellate Division including the Chief Justice have taken the initiative to quickly settle the case related to the case. We are also cooperating with the court. We hope that the hearing and settlement of these cases will be possible in two months.

The attorney general said that each case of revenue is of the same nature, most of the cases have been filed in the appeal of the Appellate Division, which will play a role in the quick disposal of these cases in the light of those cases.

Incidentally, due to cases filed in high and lower courts, the National Board of Revenue (NBR) is not able to earn thousands of crores of revenue due to various institutions. I request the Attorney General to take steps to quickly settle these cases which have been held for a long time.
