Manchester City's draw puts title race on hold

The Premier League match on Sunday ended in a 2-2 draw. Jared Bowen scored twice for the hosts West Ham. Jack Grealish scored the first goal for the champions. Their second goal was an own goal.

However, the fate of the title remains in the hands of City. On the other hand, if Liverpool loses at Southampton next Tuesday, the title will be confirmed for Manchester's team with one match left. City is at the top with 90 points from 37 matches, 28 wins and 6 draws. Liverpool, who have played one match less, has 86 points.

West Ham United took advantage of the opportunity and took a two-goal lead in the first half. City returned to the match with a wave of attacks after the break. Riyad Mahrez missed a penalty in the last minute and the victory was lost. The title race became even more tense as Pep Guardiola's team lost the points.

Liverpool's fading hope was fueled by a new lease of life. Until this match, City had arguably the strongest defence in the competition in terms of goals conceded.
