Malaysia is set to enter a two-week full lockdown from Tuesday to curb the spread of the coronavirus. Home Minister Hamza Zainuddin has said that the crackdown on illegal foreign immigrants will continue even during the lockdown, which will last until June 14.
The Home Minister told a press conference yesterday that the Immigration Department will jointly conduct this activity with the National Reintegration Department (NRD) and the police. The Home Minister said that the necessary detention centers are also ready to hold the arrested people.
"Our detention centers were full before. But the number has been increased," he said. -Free Malaysia Today
