Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said that those who behaved monstrously against the media and free journalism are now instigating anti-government incitement by posing as friends of the media.
He said all these things at a discussion meeting organized on the occasion of the founding anniversary of the Fishermen's League at the Awami League central office on Bangabandhu Avenue on Saturday morning. Obaidul Quader, joining virtually from his official residence, also said that the people know the caste-stealing party called BNP well. None of their misdeeds will succeed. When BNP was in power, they behaved monstrously against the media and free journalism. Yet, they are now inciting anti-government incitement by posing as friends of the media wearing masks.
Stating that the people of the country have not yet forgotten the monstrous atrocities committed by the BNP alliance after coming to power in 2001, the Awami League General Secretary said, "BNP is the bearer and bearer of the politics of murder, terrorism and conspiracy in this country. They are still maintaining that continuity."
Obaidul Quader said that a party called BNP, which has lost its ability to organize movements, has now taken on the role of an instigator. Earlier, they had directly and indirectly supported the students' road movement, the quota reform movement, and the anti-sculpture movement. The party, which has lost its ability to hold a procession on the streets, has now adopted dark alleys and the implementation of a conspiracy blueprint as its cunning strategy.
Chaired by Matsyajibi League President Sayidur Rahman, Awami League Publicity and Publication Secretary Dr. Abdus Sobhan Golap, Relief and Social Welfare Secretary Sujit Roy Nandi, Central Committee members ABM Riazul Kabir Kawsar and Shahabuddin Farazi, Matsyajibi League General Secretary Sheikh Azgar Naskar, among others, spoke.
