Pakistan make changes to squad ahead of Bangladesh clash

Pakistan's squad has been changed ahead of the match against Bangladesh. Wasim Junior has been ruled out of the three-match T20 series against Bangladesh due to a side strain, and the Pakistan team management has included another pacer, Abbas Afridi, in his place.

According to a PCB press release, pacer Wasim was injured while playing in the PSL. However, it was hoped that he would recover before the start of the series. Since that did not happen, Pakistan now has to find an alternative. Wasim will be undergoing rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore.

The PCB announced the squad for the series against Bangladesh without senior cricketers. Like the New Zealand series, Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan will not be in the series against Bangladesh. Star pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi will also not be in this series.

The three-match Bangladesh-Pakistan series begins today at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. The five-match series was reduced to three matches due to the India-Pakistan conflict. The remaining two matches in the series are on May 30 and June 1.
