Left Alliance calls for successful march towards PM's office

The Left Democratic Alliance will march towards the Prime Minister's Office on Tuesday demanding the withdrawal of the increased fuel prices. The alliance leaders have called for the march to be successful. They said that through this, all the people of the country, including Dhaka, must unite to build mass resistance against the misrule, corruption and looting of the current Awami League government.

The call was made at a meeting of the Dhaka Metropolitan Branch of the Left Democratic Alliance at the Friendship Auditorium of the CPB office in Purana Paltan on Thursday evening. The meeting, chaired by Khalequzzaman Lipon, coordinator of the urban Left Alliance, was addressed by the central leaders of the Left Alliance, Bazlur Rashid Firoz, Ruhin Hossain Prince, Bidhan Chandra Das, metropolitan leaders Zulfikar Ali, Taimur Alam Apu, Luna Nur, Jolly Talukder, Naima Khaled Monika, Rubel Sikder, among others.

The leaders said that the abnormal increase in fuel prices will endanger the lives of working people. Therefore, to protect the workers, the increased fuel prices must be withdrawn, a national minimum wage of Tk 20,000 must be declared, and a rationing system must be introduced.

The meeting organized rallies and mass mobilization programs in various areas of Dhaka metropolis to make the march towards the Prime Minister's Office a success.
