New Zealand's 15-match Pakistan tour schedule announced

The New Zealand cricket team will tour Pakistan twice in the upcoming 2022-23 season. New Zealand will play a total of 15 international matches on these two tours. This includes two Tests, eight ODIs and five T20 matches.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the schedule for the bilateral series against New Zealand at home in a statement.

In the first phase, New Zealand will tour Pakistan in December. During that time, the two teams will play two Tests and three ODIs.

In the second phase, the Kiwis will travel to Pakistan again in April next year. During that time, Pakistan and New Zealand will play five T20Is and five ODIs each.

The first phase will see a two-match Test series starting on December 27. The first match of the series, part of the ICC World Test Championship, will be held in Karachi. New Zealand will play a Test in Karachi for the first time since October 1990. And the Kiwis will play their first Test on Pakistani soil since 2002. The second and final Test will begin in Multan on January 4.

After the Test series, Pakistan and New Zealand will play a three-match ODI series starting January 11. The last two ODIs of the series, which is part of the ICC Super League, will be on January 13 and 15 respectively. New Zealand will play ODIs on Pakistani soil for the first time since 2003.

New Zealand will begin their second tour of Pakistan with a T20I. The T20I series will begin on April 13. The remaining matches of the series will be played on April 15, 16, 19 and 23. New Zealand has never played a T20I on Pakistani soil.

The ODI series will start from April 26. The remaining ODIs in the series will be on April 28, May 1, 4 and 7 respectively.
