NATO Join Application Sweden-Finland

The US-led military alliance NATO has officially applied for the United States to join NATO, which has been appealing for membership of the alliance on Wednesday (May 18) by the leaders of the two countries, calling the petition a ‘historic moment’.

Earlier on Monday (May 16) the Swedish Parliament voted to join NATO, and the Finnish parliament passed a resolution on Tuesday (May 17). The ambassadors of Finland and Sweden handed over the official application of the respective countries to the Secretary General of the alliance, Stoltenberg.

I welcome the application of NATO to Finland and Sweden, our close partners, said the NATO Secretary General.

"We all allies agree on the importance of NATO expansion, we all agree that we have to stand together in a row."

Sweden - The NATO chief has promised to recognize Finland as a member of the NATO, but it will require the approval of 30 member countries, but Turkey, one of the most important members, has taken a stand against Sweden-Finland membership.

The main members of the alliance are going to have discussions with the United States, the President of Finland, Sauli Ninisto and Swedish Prime Minister Magdalina Andersan.

According to Al-Jazeera, the issue of joining the NATO of the two countries is expected to be discussed in the nuclei of the United States, and US President Joe Biden will sit with the Finnish and Swedish leaders on Thursday (May 19).

On Wednesday, White House spokesman Karin Jane Piterre said that President Biden will discuss European security and their partnership with Swedish Prime Minister Magdalina and Finland President Sauli Ninisto at the meeting.

Meanwhile, the Russians have objected to the fact that Finland and Sweden have joined NATO, Moscow feels that it will risk their own security if the two neighboring countries join Nato.

Analysts say that if Finland and Sweden join NATO, it will be a defeat for the Russians. If the two Nordic countries join the Western military alliance, NATO forces will appear on the Russian-Finland border.

In the meantime, Russian President Vladimir Putin has launched a nuclear-capable missile at the border, which is seen in a video released on Monday (May 16), a few military vehicles carrying the Iskandar missiles are moving towards the Russian city of Vasanta near the border of Finland.

After the Russian Revolution, Finland, born as an independent state, adopted an independent foreign policy in 1917. Sweden followed the same path of the Soviet Union or the United States in the same way.

But the poison was difficult for Finland because the country's vast borders with the authoritarian superpower Russia, as a result, were adopted by the Finnish leaders to maintain peace, where they would have accepted the various demands of the Soviet leaders from time to time.

But Finland and Sweden moved out of the balance policy of moving along with the Russians after the collapse of the Soviet Union. They joined the European Union (EU) together in 1995 and gradually started to formulate their defense policies in line with the West. Although the two countries had no plan to join NATO directly in this match.

Nato Add For Na Deota, Finland and Sweden have different reasons for both countries, but it has a wide border with Finland.
