Human chain of Sujan in Chandraganj to protest against rape and torture of women

A spontaneous human chain program was held in Chandraganj of Lakshmipur to protest the rape, murder, torture of women across the country and to demand exemplary punishment of the culprits, including torture and video recording of housewives in Eklashpur of Noakhali.

On Saturday (October 10) at 11:00 a.m., an hour-long human chain was held on the Dhaka-Laxmipur highway on the initiative of the Citizen Chandraganj Thana Committee for good governance.

Abdul Qudduch, doctor Shahiduliah Swapan, prominent businessman Anwar Hossain Azad, general secretary of Chandraganj Thana Committee of Sujan Sameer Karmakar, social worker Abdul Matin.

Students and teachers of various educational institutions, parents, businessmen of the market, leaders of labor organizations and people of various professions were present. Speakers say - women are our mothers, sisters, wives, daughters. The state should take responsibility for women's safety in all cases. For this every conscious citizen of the society should come forward.

The speaker also said that the law should be amended immediately and the death penalty law against rape of women should be passed. Those involved in the rape must be quickly arrested and brought to justice.
