Farooqui himself revealed that he fell in love with Tisha while shooting a drama in Comilla.

Talented director Mostafa Sarwar Farooqui and actress Nusrat Imroz Tisha got married out of love. That was in July 2010. Almost 15 years later, Farooqui, who was the cultural advisor to the interim government, revealed that the depth of love between this star couple began in Comilla; while shooting a drama.

The main event of the 126th birth anniversary of national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam was held in Comilla on Sunday. In the afternoon, the event organized at the auditorium of the Comilla District Shilpakala Academy was attended as the chief guest by Cultural Affairs Advisor Mostafa Sarwar Faruqi. While giving a speech on the memories of the national poet's love in Comilla, he also spoke about his own love.

Mustafa Sarwar Faruqi said, 'I have a deep love for Comilla. You know I have come to Comilla many times to shoot. My love means the one I married later, Tisha (Nusrat Imroz Tisha); the depth of my love began in Comilla. When I came to do a production called "Carom". Not only Nazrul has love memories in Comilla, Nazrul's younger brothers also have love memories.' The advisor further said, 'Whenever I came to shoot in Comilla, we would discuss which places have memories of Nazrul.'

This time, Nazrul's birth anniversary is being celebrated nationally in Comilla. The three-day event is organized by the Ministry of Cultural Affairs under the theme '24th Mass Uprising, Nazrul's Legacy'. The event is being managed by the Comilla District Administration in collaboration with the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.

Secretary of the Ministry of Culture Md. Mofidur Rahman presided over the event, and writer and professor Salimullah Khan spoke as the commemorative speaker. Salimullah Khan quoted several writings of the national poet and explained them in his speech. Comilla Deputy Commissioner Md. Amirul Kaysar delivered the welcome speech at the event. Executive Director of the National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam Institute Md. Latiful Islam Shibli and District Police Superintendent Nazir Ahmed Khan delivered the special guest speeches. After the discussion, a cultural program was held at the auditorium of the District Shilpakala Academy on Nazrul. Renowned artists including renowned Nazrul musician Ferdous Ara performed songs at the event.

It is worth mentioning that Farooqui and Tisha got married on July 16, 2010. They have a daughter named Ilham Nusrat Farooqui. Mostafa Sarwar Farooqui produced the play 'Caram' based on the story of Kochi Khandaker. Actor Mosharraf Karim came into the limelight with this play.
