We have a good relationship with the customers. We have helped the customer who has never defaulted due to Covid and the customer has returned the incentive loan.’

The managing director of a private bank, who said that the overall loan disbursement rate is disappointing, said: ‘The first phase of the loan disbursement money did not return the same. Then, if you did not return one rupee, you could not default. After that, if you return 25 percent of the installments, you will not default on the central bank. For these reasons, we could not distribute the loan in the second phase. The money that Bangladesh Bank had paid for disbursement of the first phase of the loan was returned after a year, but I did not get that money back from the customer.’

According to a source in Bangladesh Bank, in the first phase, 32,703 crores of Tk 30,003 crore were distributed from the incentive fund announced for the industrial and service sector, which 3,306 industries have received this loan. 11,322 crores have been distributed from this fund in the second month, 1,162 industries have received loans.
