The High Court has granted bail to him on Thursday (July 28) in a case filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) against the chairman of Regent Hospital Limited, who was arrested on the charge of fraud during the Coronavirus.
On Thursday (July 28), Justice SM Quddus Zaman and Justice KM Zahid Sarwta Kajol's High Court bench forged him on the charge of embezzling Tk 3 crore in the name of loan for embezzlement of Tk 3 crore.
ACC lawyer Khurshid Alam Khan confirmed the poison after the order.
On September 24, 2020, the chairman of Regent Hospital, Md. ACC (Connignment Commission) filed a case against four people including Shahed Karim, Babul Chishti.
ACC Chief Office Assistant Director Mohammad Shahjahan Miraj filed a case in Dhaka-1, the commissioner of the commission's integrated district office of the commission, misusing power, breaching money and converting money in the name of loan through money transfer and conversion, which has been the interest of two crores and 71 lakhs against the two accused.
The case is one of the accused in the former Farmers Bank (now Padma Bank). Entrepreneur Director and former Chairman of Credit Committee Mahbubul Haque Chishti alias Babul Chishti.
The other two accused are: Babul Chishti's son Rashedul Haque Chishti and Regent Hospital MD. Ibrahim Khalil has been filed against them in Section 409/109 of the Penal Code, Section 5(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1947 and Section 4 of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act-2012.
Earlier, the court had filed another case on April 17. He was accused of illegally acquiring assets of Tk 1 crore 69 lakh.
On Sunday morning, Dhaka Special Judge Court-10 Judge Mohammad Nazrul Islam filed a complaint and fixed the date of taking the testimony on May 20.
On March 1 last year, ACC Deputy Director Farid Ahmed Pattori filed the case in the commissioned Dhaka District Office-1, which was filed in the commission.
Saheed was arrested from Debhata in Satkhira on July 15, 2020 while trying to go to Palli in the country. Later, more than 36 cases were filed against him across the country.
On September 28 of that year, the court sentenced Shahed to life imprisonment in the Arms Act, which was previously sentenced to 6 months imprisonment without labor and fined Tk 53 lakh.
