Diesel-octane-petrol-kerosene price to reduce Rs 5 per liter

The government has decided to reduce the price of diesel, octane, petrol and kerosene by Rs 5 per liter, which will be issued a notification in no time.

The government announced the announcement on Monday (August 29) evening that the new price of fuel will be effective from tonight, the energy department confirmed.

Earlier this afternoon, Minister of State for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid said that the price of fuel oil will be adjusted in two days and the government is thinking of 5 percent reduction in import tax.

The National Board of Revenue (NBR) issued a notification to the combustion duty commission of fuel oil, diesel and rice last Sunday (August 28), the notification said, the import duty of diesel has been reduced by 11.25 percent. From now on, the total duty on diesel imports will be reduced from 34 percent to 22.75 percent.

It should be noted that the price of all types of fuel oil in the country has been fixed since 12:00 on August 5. On that day, diesel was fixed at Tk 114, kerosene Tk 114, Octane Tk 135 and petrol price was Tk 130. Before that, diesel was Tk 80, Kerosin Tk 80, Octane Tk 89 and petrol was Tk 86.
