4 people including the candidate of Aomi League-BNP have submitted their nomination papers in the by-election for the post of Chairman of Chandraganj Union Parishad of Laxmipur Sadar Upazila. Today Wednesday (September 23) afternoon, the candidates of their respective parties submitted their nomination papers to the concerned official at the Sadar Upazila Election Office.
The candidates are, Aomi League nominated (Boat Symbol) candidate Nurul Amin, BNP nominated (Dhaner Sheesh) candidate freedom fighter Tofatael Ahmed, BNP leader Mohammad Ali (Independent Candidate) and Journalist Mohammad Hasan (Independent Candidate).
Sadar Upazila Election Officer Swapan Kumar Bhowmik confirmed the poisoning of 4 persons' nomination papers.
Aomi League nominee candidate Nurul Amin submitted his nomination paper at 4:15 pm. Esm was present with him, District Aomi League General Secretary Advocate Nuruddin Chowdhury Natan, Aomi League Leader Advocate Samchuddin, Local Unit Awami League Vice President Gichuta Uddin Lithon and Secretary of the Initiative Islami League.
Incidentally, on August 16, the chairman of Chandraganj Uniton Parishad, Nurul Islam Babul, died of corona-suffering, the post of Chairman, became vacant, after the afternoon of Tuesday, Sadar Upazila Election Officer Swapan Kumar Bhowmik announced the schedule for the vacancy for the vacancy.
