Two in jail failed to pay fines and set up in Chittagong

The Chittagong Union Authority (CDA) mobile court has cleared at least 50 illegally built buildings on the foot and above Paha. The court sent two people to jail for 15 days, failing to pay the fines in the operation.

The operation was conducted next to the city's Batzid-Fauzdarhat link from 11 am to 6 pm on Thursday, which led by CDA Special Metropolitan Magistrate Tahmina Afroz Chowdhury, which has tin houses, semi-paved and paved buildings in the demolished structure.

CDA bench assistant Ftaz Ahmad told Prothom Alo that the construction of the Pahaji area without the approval of the CDA was removed and the mobile court removed it. The court fined Moniruzzaman Tk 10 lakh for illegally building a restaurant and Helal Uddin Tk 5 lakh for building a semi-paved house.

Failing to pay the fine, the two of them have been sent to jail.
The CDA engineers and officers participated in the operation, and the city policemen assisted.
