11,162 new cases have been identified in the last 24 hours. The total number of cases identified so far is 977,568.
This has brought the death toll in the country to 11 consecutive days. Earlier, 163 people lost their lives to COVID-19 on Tuesday. A record 11,525 people were diagnosed with COVID-19 on that day.
The notification said that 35,639 samples have been tested in 24 hours. The detection rate compared to sample testing is 31.32 percent.
So far, 850,502 people have recovered from COVID-19. 5,987 people have recovered in the last 24 hours.
