BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia has registered on the Health Ministry's 'Suraksha' website to get the COVID-19 vaccine. However, she has not been informed of the date of her vaccination so far.
On Monday (July 12), Khaleda Zia's doctor, BNP Vice Chairman Professor AZM Zahid Hossain, informed the party's press wing member Shairul Kabir Khan Ittefaq Online about this information, quoting the party's press wing member.

Sayrul said that Khaleda Zia will get vaccinated at the National Gastroliver Institute and Hospital in Mohakhali. "Khaleda Zia went to the 'Suraksha' website on July 9 and filled out the registration form for vaccination. The vaccination date was informed through a short message to the mobile phone number mentioned in the registration form. So far, Begum Zia has not received that SMS.

Khaleda Zia, 75, had been ill for a long time after contracting COVID-19. After 54 days of treatment at the capital's Evercare Hospital, she returned to her Gulshan home on the night of June 19. Although not fully recovered, Khaleda Zia was taken home to avoid the risk of infection between the virus in the hospital and the Delta variant of COVID-19 in the country. She is currently at home.
