US presidents have supported Israel's atrocities

The death toll from Israel's continued airstrikes in Gaza continues to rise, and anger is growing over US President Joe Biden's handling of the situation. On the same day that Biden declared his unequivocal support for Israel, an Israeli airstrike killed 10 members of the same family, flattened an 11th-floor building housing the offices of Al Jazeera and the Associated Press, and destroyed several residential buildings.

According to a special report by Qatar-based media outlet Al Jazeera, the White House said on Saturday that President Biden spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for the second time since the renewed Israeli-Palestinian conflict began. He reiterated support for Israel's right to defend itself against Hamas rocket attacks.

Progressive US lawmakers, Palestinian advocacy groups and other organizations are expressing disappointment with Biden's policies on the Palestinian issue. However, not only Biden, but other US presidents have a long history of unconditionally supporting Israel during the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, as Al Jazeera highlighted in a report published last Sunday.
