The Indurkani Upazila Health Complex of Pirojpur has been inaugurated for the first time after a century of operation of the free medicine distribution program among the outpatients. The Health Department has taken this step with the sole effort of Pirojpur-2 Constituency Member of Parliament Anwar Hossain Manju.

Meanwhile, the program was inaugurated by giving medicine to a patient named Abdul Mannan Mridha. According to Upazila Health Complex sources, distribution of 29 types of medicines has been started initially. More medicines will be given gradually.
About Upazila Health Complex Indurkani Upazila Jatiya Party-JP convener Asadul Kabir Swapan said that Indurkani Upazila Health Complex was officially launched in 2008. Since then, the hospital has closed residential treatment. Only outdoor appointment letters were given to the patients coming here. Seeing the poor condition of the hospital, Anwar Hossain Manju provided an ambulance here. He has taken all measures to upgrade the hospital from 31 beds to 50 beds. Which is ongoing. In his efforts, medicines have been started from now on to the patients coming to the hospital along with prescriptions. He is working hard to make the hospital fully operational.
