Brazil beat Argentina 3-1

Brazil beat Argentina 3-1
Brazil went into the group stage of the CONMEBOL Under-20 Championship in a battle of survival. If the opponent was the eternal rival Argentina, then the yellow jerseys defeated the white and blue jerseys. At the end of the regular time, the Brazilian youth team won a big victory by 3-1 goals.

Brazil led 2-0 in the first half. However, Argentina could not use the opportunity to reduce the gap from the penalty spot. Brazil increased the gap further by scoring from the penalty spot in the 87th minute of the second half. However, Argentina reduced the gap by scoring in added time. Guillermo Biru, Andre Santos and Vitor Roque scored for Brazil. Maxi Gonzalez scored the only goal for Argentina.

Even if Argentina loses this match, they still have a chance to advance to the next round. However, the equation is a bit more complicated for the youngsters.

That is, if Argentina wins the next two matches and Colombia, Paraguay, and Brazil lose their respective matches, Argentina will have a chance to advance to the next round.

A total of six teams, three from each group, will advance to the next group stage. The best of those six teams will be the champions. Each team will play a total of four matches. Paraguay and Colombia have already played three matches. Argentina and Brazil have played two each.
