Billal Hossain Talukdar, the leader of the local volunteer group, has been killed due to the old rivalry of the footpath near Mouchak-Anarkali Market in Ramna Thana area of the capital, local sources and the family of the deceased claim.
The night after the incident, the accused Jubo Dal leader Didarul Islam Babu was expelled from the party and the committee of Ramna Thana Jubo Dal was declared abolished, while the police have launched a strong investigation to find out the real cause behind the murder.
The murder took place at the parking place of Anarkali Super Market next to Siddheshwari Botz School in Ramna Thana area around 8 pm on Monday (June 8).
The deceased Billal Hossain Talukdar was the former convener of Ramna Thana Swachhasebak Dal. Professional cement-sand business, two separate areas of Moghbazar lived in two families and 6 children.
Mobarak Hossain, the nephew of the deceased and an eyewitness to the incident, complained, ‘On Monday night, we were staying at the parking spot of Anarkali Market. This is the general secretary of the Anarkali Super Market Committee and the convener of Ramna Thana Jubo Dal, Didarul Islam Babu, came there with his Sangopangos. At one point, they started arguing between them.
