Biman Bangladesh Airlines has started preparations for this. Biman has made the initial decision to bring his body home from Nagpur, India, on the return flight from Doha, Qatar to Dhaka.

Tanvir Ahmed, public relations officer of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, said, "Permission has been received from India. We hope that the body will be brought back to the country on Thursday morning. Currently, the captain's body is kept at the mortuary of Kingsway Hospital in Nagpur."

In addition, it will take some time to get the corona test reports of Captain Naushad's two sisters. Last Friday morning, Captain Naushad suffered a heart attack while in Indian airspace on the BG-022 flight from Muscat, Oman, carrying 124 passengers, to Dhaka. Captain Naushad immediately requested the flight to make an emergency landing at the Air Traffic Control (ATC) in Kolkata. At the same time, he handed over the control of the flight to the co-pilot.

When the air traffic control in Kolkata ordered the flight to land at the nearby Nagpur airport, co-pilot Captain Mustakim landed the flight. An eight-member rescue team went to Nagpur on another flight that same day. The plane was brought to Dhaka airport with the passengers after midnight.
