Four players of the Paris-based football club Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) were diagnosed with the coronavirus a day before the tournament of French football clubs in the French club on Monday night. Seven-time Ballon d'Or winner Leylen Messi is also among the players who have tested positive for the virus, the club said.
This information was given in a statement on behalf of the club on Sunday.
Earlier on Saturday night, PSG announced that one of their staff was diagnosed with corona. But his name was not revealed then.
Apart from Messi, left back Juan Bernet, goalkeeper Sergio Rico and 19-year-old midfielder Nathan Bitumajala are also infected with the virus.
The statement said that the players infected with Corona are currently in isolation.
Vanes will face PSG in a round of 32 game on Monday.
In the French club, the reigning champions PSG are fighting to defend their title.
