Youth hacked to death at Chuadanga border

The incident took place near Main Pillar No. 68 of Goeshpur border of Jibannagar upazila at around 1 o'clock on Monday (December 12).

The young man died on Tuesday (December 13) morning while undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

Deceased Tariq Hossain is the son of Robgul Hossain of Goeshpur village of Jibannagar upazila.

It is known that some drug dealers inside Bangladesh were standing at the border to bring Phencidil from India. At that time, they saw Tariq Hossain at that place, cut his foot and ran away leaving him with a bloody wound.

Later, the locals rescued Tariq in a coma and admitted him to Jibannagar Upazila Health Complex at night. When his physical condition deteriorated, the doctor on duty referred him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for better treatment.

He died while undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital on Tuesday morning.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Jibannagar police station Abdul Khalek confirmed the truth of the incident and said that the deceased Tariq Hossain was reported to be a BGB source. No case has yet been filed in this incident. The body of the deceased is in Dhaka.
