So far those who could not take the first dose due to various reasons come to this special program to get vaccinated. Mainly, the presence of people who are backward in the society is more in the polling campaign.
Those who do not have national identity card or birth certificate can also get vaccinated through immediate registration. There is a sense of relief among the common people to get the vaccine without any hassle.
On the first day, 1 crore 2 million doses were administered, and on the second day, about 2.8 million vaccinations were administered due to the great response of the common people in this special Maha Yajna. And more than 120 million people have been vaccinated in the country so far according to the Department of Health.
The vaccination program against coronavirus started in Bangladesh by giving a single dose of vaccine to Runu Veronica Costa, a senior staff nurse at Kurmitola General Hospital in Dhaka on January 27 last year. A total of 26 people were experimentally vaccinated on the first day. Then on February 7, a mass vaccination program was started across the country. which is still ongoing.
