Ukraine still wants to become a NATO member

Ukraine wants to join NATO despite fear of conflict with Russia. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said this on Monday.

Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky firmly stated that Ukraine definitely wants to become a member of the NATO military alliance. However, Russia is opposed to this and many Western countries have expressed doubts that Ukraine will not be a member of this military alliance. However, Ukraine wants to become a member of NATO.

Volodymyr Zelensky, speaking to German Chancellor Olaf Schaltz in Kiev, the capital of Ukraine, said he believes his country (Ukraine) will go the way its people want. By this he means that Ukraine will be a NATO member despite the threat of conflict with Russia.

Russian President Vladimir Putin, on the other hand, wants to block Ukraine's membership in NATO and the military alliance's expansion into Eastern Europe. He also demanded security guarantees from the West.

But as the West did not listen to Vladimir Putin's demands, he gathered about 100,000 Russian troops on the border of Ukraine.
