Public transport within the district will be allowed from tomorrow Thursday (May 6), but long-distance transport along with launches and trains will be suspended till May 16.
The Cabinet has issued a notification extending the period of the ongoing restrictions till May 16. The notification was issued today Wednesday (May 5) extending the restriction period. These instructions are given in the notification.
It is said that inter-district public transport will be closed. However, after May 5, public transport will be able to ply within the district subject to compliance with proper hygiene rules. Train and launch movement will remain closed as before.
