Iran violated nuclear deal by enriching uranium: Biden

In response to a question from a Reuters reporter, President Biden said, "We don't support this. It doesn't seem like anyone would benefit from enriching uranium to 60 percent. But we're happy that Iran has agreed to continue the talks."

Biden claimed that the Vienna meeting was being damaged by Iran enriching uranium to the 60th level. However, he also noted that the time for a final assessment in this regard has not yet come.

Earlier, White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki said on Friday that the United States takes seriously the "provocative" steps taken by Iran to enrich uranium to the 60th level.

He said the steps taken by Iran showed the country's lack of goodwill for negotiations. He called on European countries participating in the Vienna talks to take appropriate steps in this regard.
