Your voice will go to Google, the expansion of Bengal will increase!

Language month is going on. The fresh blood of the youth has been shed to protect the Bengali language. That's why we are now expressing our feelings in beautiful Bengali language with everyone. This Bengali language has become popular outside the country as well. In today's age of technology, modernity is almost everywhere. But we could not bring our mother tongue Bengali in touch with that modernity.

Bengali language is mentioned by many as the sweetest language in the world. Although this language is in the ears and mouth of 50 crore people, this language is not so much in computer technology. Many of us think that speaking in Bengali on Google, Alexa and Siri will work accordingly. But if you have the will, it will not be enough, you must have the ability.

Now a group of researchers and students of Bangladesh are working to make that possibility a reality. They want the computer to work according to what you say in Bengali. But the problem is that the computer no longer understands our Bengali language. The computer understands the algorithm, through which the computer performs its work.

And in order to teach or understand the Bengali language to the computer, many people's voice samples are needed. Voice samples of people of different ages and situations are needed. Today, they are able to talk to Siri, Alexa or Google Assistant because English researchers have collected such voice samples.

This time, to bring Bengal to that queue, researchers or students of different levels are collecting voice samples organized by the Mozilla Foundation platform on behalf of the Bengali.AI community. They are collecting speech samples from Bengali-speaking people of different ages in Bangladesh and India. An assistant can be created for Bengali only if these languages are heard by the computer through the algorithm. Which will help us at all levels.

Although Google has done some work on Bengali language, there are many flaws in their algorithm. Because Google does not have Bengali voice samples of people from all areas of Bengali speakers. So this time this organization has started to collect a large voice sample.

Earlier, Google had a maximum dataset of 250 hours of voice samples. But production-level software requires a dataset of 10,000 hours of voice samples. A software is being developed by the government which requires voice samples from all walks of life. A community named bengali.ai is collecting that sample.
